I made this fruit trug using JAB porcelain. First I made the template out of stiff card. I slab rolled the porcelain, making sure I rolled in all directions to distribute the stretch evenly. I then cut out the design and joined the pieces together using slip.

I made the handle with a very high loop. As you can see, the handle shrunk to just the right length after firing. I hand painted the bisque using high fire porcelain glazes in the Arts and Crafts style. The final fire 1240c.
